Welcome to Mosaic ("the App"), an application operated by Sidewave Digital Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your choices regarding your data.

By using Mosaic, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Data Collection

Mosaic is designed to respect your privacy. We do not collect, store, or have access to the personal data you enter into the App. This includes:

  • Your name, email address, or other personal identifiers.
  • Any notes, tags, or contextual information you add within the App.
  • Your device information, IP address, or location data.

The only exception is anonymous usage metrics collected through Mixpanel to help us improve the App’s performance and user experience. These metrics do not contain personal information and cannot be used to identify you.

3. Data Storage: On-Device and Your Personal iCloud

A. On-Device Storage

All the data you enter into Mosaic is stored exclusively and securely on your local device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data, and your information is never sent to us.

B. Optional iCloud Backup

You may choose to back up your data using Apple’s iCloud service. This enables syncing across devices and restoring your data on a new device.

If you enable iCloud backups, your Mosaic data is stored in your personal iCloud account and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We do not have access to this data. You remain in full control of your iCloud data through your device’s iCloud settings.

4. Data Usage and Sharing

We do not access or store your personal data, so we cannot—and do not—use it for any purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

The only data we process is anonymous usage information collected through Mixpanel, which is used solely to improve Mosaic’s features and performance. This data is never linked to your personal identity.

5. Third-Party Services

Mosaic integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Apple iCloud: Optional backup and syncing of your App data, controlled by you.
  • Mixpanel: Anonymous usage metrics to help us improve the App’s performance and usability.

Both services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review them:

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Since the App does not collect personal data, we do not, by extension, collect any from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Changes are effective once posted.
